罗格开幕式演讲--中国学子又多了一份背诵精品 Following is the full text of the speech given by IOC President Jacques Rogge

at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on August 8：

国际奥委会主席雅克·罗格在北京奥运开幕式上的演讲

[1] Mr.President of the People's Republic of China, Mr.Liu Qi, Members of the Organizing Committee, dear Chinese friends, dear athletes: [1] 尊敬的中华人民共和国主席、尊敬的刘淇先生、尊敬的组委会成员；亲爱的中国朋友、亲爱的运动员们：大家好！

[4] As one world, we grieved with you over the tragic earthquake in Sichuan Province.We were moved by the great courage and solidarity of the Chinese people.As one dream, may these Olympic Games bring you joy, hope and pride.[4] 因为同一个世界，我们为四川大地震的悲剧感到痛心。我们为中国人民的坚强不屈和团结一致而感动。因为一个梦想，也许奥运会能带给你们欢乐，希望和自豪。

[5] Athletes, the Games were created for you by our founder, Pierre de Coubertin.These Games belong to you.Let them be the athletes' Games，have fun!
