Good morning, everyone!I’m honored to stand here and give you a short speech!I know that there are many students chose “idol” as their topic, but I don’t have a clear idol in fact.And I want to make some difference.So, today, my speech is about disaster.In recent years, disasters have killed thousands of people's lives.On April 25, 2015, an earthquake happened in Nepal.Only after a week, 5000 people were confirmed dead.And on June 2, the boat “west star” sank into The Yangtze river.Until now, it is confirmed that 14 people were rescued and 441 people were dead in this sinking, including a little girl who was only three years old.We can see that our government has tried its best to reduce the injury and death rate in this accident.However, when a ship down in the river, maybe whatever we do is to no avail.So, it is important for us to know what we should do when we face to disasters.Firstly, we should improve our disaster forecasting.Secondly, we must pay attention to protect the environment.Thirdly, it is neceary to strengthen the earthquake relief work.One of the most important things is that we should face positively rather than avoid them when disaster comes.Now, let’s pray the dead people can be happy in the heaven.That's all.Thank you.
