everything.But the more she thought about herself, the more disappointed she became.She found that she was far from perfection.Last week, she didn’t do well in her French quiz, and the day before yesterday, she was late for a conference.She felt depreed and frustrated, because she failed to be a perfect girl without any mistakes.I was surprised to hear that for I thought she had every reason to be confident.However, the expectation of perfection has become a burden to her.I told her no one could be perfect and I suggested she find her own position.In fact, people are so eager to be perfect that they demand too muchof
themselves.They want to be special and unique, and they want to have no defects or weaknees.However, we can never avoid mistakes and errors.It’s impoible for us to be a superman or a superwoman.No matter how succeful we are, there are always some flaws.If we hold that everything should be perfect, we would be overcritical.My friend now has changed her attitude.She accepts her shortcomings but still keeps a positive outlook.She is even more active and doesn’t allow the mistakes to hinder her pursuit of excellence.And I think that’s the way we should be！That’s all.Thank you!
Nature--Overpopulation
What is nature? It's everything that exists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather.Now more and more people are focusing on the nature.It is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being.No nature, no life.Because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a long time.And we started to gain every thing available from the nature.And this lasted so long a time.Today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse.What is threatening the nature? Air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on.Overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution.Let's take overpopulation as an example.What does overpopulation feel like? When we enter a crowded slum district.When the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke.The streets are crowded with people.The streets seem alive with people.People eating.People washing.People talking.People sleeping.People visiting each other, arguing and screaming.People relieving themselves.People pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging.People leading animals.People, people, people, people.As we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell!I admit, frightening.To the nature, overpopulation is a big problem.More people, more pollution.And the big population is threatening the nature every second.The rapid rise in world population is not creating problems only for the
developing countries.The whole world faces the problem that raw materials are being used up at an increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population increase.People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution.A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India.Unle all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the
population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of le and le land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth.For example, China has carried out birth control for years.And this plan has a great effect on the world population.If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be
polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining.Species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change.Economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk.By protecting nature, we protect ourselves.Let's unite together, hand in hand we stand all acro the land.We can make this world in which to live.Hand in hand.Control the population growth.Take good care of our nature.Thanksgiving

Cherish the water
My dear Teachers，fellow students and friends,As we all know, the earth is a planet almost covered by water，and it is water made every thing on the earth lively．Water is also one of the important part of our environment．Though，is there really so much water for us to clean，to produce many things，to play with? how much water are there on the earth then?
Most of the water is in the oceans or locked away as ice．The largest volumes of fresh water are stored underground as groundwater，imagine there is only one barrel of water in the world，then there is only a spoon of it on the land，and the water we can use is only a drop of it．Now I have to remind all of you here that the single drop of water is never as Clean as before，it has been polluted severely by our human beings． Many human activities and their by-products have the potential to pollute water.Please have a look along the banks of the river, large and small industrial enterprises discharge dirty
water, tons of garbage were thrown into the river, the water contained so much that it can't clean itself.Compared with the dramatic development in many sides of Shanghai, the suzhou river has become a black point of the appearance of city.Fortunately, the government has control the situation now, we are happy to see some parts of the river has become clean again, and we even can find fish sometime.The unique earth is the only planet full of lives, the water is just like the blood in the active body, protecting water is saving ourselves.Not to waste a single drop of water, otherwise, the only drop of water we could keep in the future would be our tear!My dear friends, mankind still faces a great difficulty in solving the problems of the environment and development, and there is a grand task to perform and along way to go.The middle school students in China will always cooperate with the young people of the world to protect the environment.Dream

I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech!To begin with ,I want to pop a question.Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ,Today I want to talk about dream with you.Of course, What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night,but a dream about life.Every one has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage,and we need dreams to support us.Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we can chart our course by them.With the dream,we have a direction,with a direction, we were no longer confused.With the dream, there is hope,With hope, we have the strength to fight.Life is tough,and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims,and we may feel depreed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always confort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead.So bear in mind your dream and never give up your dream easily.look into the great people’s experiences, you may find the truth that good dream makes a good one, because there is nothing like a dream to create the future and build up our body.Finally ,I would suggest.Have a dream in mind and keep pursuing on it.Try to use your time sensibly, do what you should do to make your dream come ture.Although it is a hard job to get to the top of your dreaming mountain, but as the saying says, “mountain’s high, but man makes the peak”.As long as we keep, we will finally fullfill it.
