And after he was 10 years old, he did a lot of jobs, such as newsboy, sailor, worker and coolie.And during this time, he read a lot of books and paages.Love of Life Life is one of the most mysterious things in the world.Because of its uncertainty, it can be wonderful or terrible at any time.And also, there is much time when you are laughing while some one is crying.It’s common, how to view our life is just how we love it.So, Love of Life is worth reading.Love of Life is a collection of short stories.And all the short stories are written by Jack London.And in fact love of life is one of the short stories, but, all the stories tell us to love our life.Then I will introduce the book to you in three parts.Firstly is the author.Jack London was born in 1876 in a peasant family.When he was a child, he suffered a lot because of poorne.For life, he had to work as a shepherd child when he was 8.When he was 17, he became a real sailor and hunted seals.And after his sea travel, he wrote down his experience into prose, helped him started his writing affairs.In 1916, he killed himself and until now, no one knows why.Then I will tell you something about the book.The book is a collection of Jack London’s short stories including 8 short novels.And Love of Life is the first novel in the book and it’s also one of the most famous novels of Jack London.The story is about a man walking down a river bank with his only friend Bill.There was no man but deer and wolves.He had to find food and survive from the situation.Unluckily, he sprained his ankle and then he fell behind.He called Bill but Bill still went forward rather than stop to wait.He wanted survival and believed that Bill is waiting for him somewhere and then find people who can help him.This faith kept him walking and surviving from hungry and wolf.The following days, he threw all his gold and kept walking forward.5 days later, he arrived beach and saw a big ship far away.He could only crawl because of weakne.And he found two things.His friend Bill was already dead with his gold and a sick wolf was following him.After fighting against the wolf, he drank wolf’s blood and fell asleep.Finally he was saved by sailors.The story is the most typical story that can tell us what author wanted to say.At last, I will tell you some idea of mine towards the book.Life will be the way you believe it.You love it, and it will also love you.You hate it, and it will become ugly.What beat the hungry, the loneline, the wolf and the despair? They are courage and belief.So, hold the courage and belief and never lo it.And another thing I must mention.Choices is also important.Throw gold and live or hold it and die? It’s your choices.
