Months ago,a milestone in movie history named Avatar was pursuited by people all over the world.Everyone who has watched the movie is fascinated by the spectacular views on the planet of Pandora which is created by the director with new movie technology.People who live in crowded and busy cities are so eager to be in touch with the beautiful nature that everyone wants himself to be an avatar to experience the freedom and space of a wilderne place.In fact,we don’t need to be an avatar,our ancestors used to live a life like that.But the development of economy and technology destroyed the peace of the primitive nature.Trees fell and high buildings were built.Animals disppeared and cars were running all over world.Blue sky became gray.Clean rivers turned turbid.But what is worse is that people seemed unaware of it yet.Extravagance and waste can be seen everywhere.Human beings are still living a high energy consumption and high pollution life style.Every percent of economic growth will consume huge resources on the earth and diliver a ma of carbon dioxide.It is high carbon life which cannot sustain for a long time.The wasteful use of resources has caused a lot of problems such as poverty,hunger,disease and even wars.We must realize that the resources on earth is limited,the water is limited,the timber is limited,the coal is limited,the oil is limited and the space on earth is also limited.When we use the resources wastefully,we are stealling from the furture generations.We’ve done too much wrongs like this.Now it’s time to convert our conceptions and lead a brand-new life style----------low carbon life.Now it’s time to take powful action to protect our everionment from contamination.Now it’s time to abundon the endle greed for material interest and embrace the beauty of nature.This beautiful blue planet is our mutual home for all the life on it.I hope hundreds years later,our offspings can still feel the poem:
“The fish in the water is silent, the animal in the earth is noisy,the bird in the air is singing.But man has in him
the silence of the sea
the noise of the earth
and the music of the air.”
What a beautiful scene!Attention, it’s not on the planet of Pandora,it’s on earth!
