Good evening!My name is zhangyu with english as my major.I’m in Cla One.It’s my great pleasure to stand here and share my dream with you tonight.Different people have different dreams.Some people dream of being rich or famous, some others dream of staying young forever.I also have a lot of dreams.But my biggest dream is to spread English throughout China and Chinese throughout the world.As everyone knows,English is an international language which is spoken all over the world.Time magazine suggested that English is used by one quarter of the world’s population.Sixty percent of the world’s television and radio broadcasts are produced and delivered in English.Seventy percent of the world’s e-mails are addreed in English.If we can speak English well,we will have more chances to succeed.More and more people have taken notice of this fact.Therefore, the number of the people who seek to learn English has increased at a rapid speed.However, for me, I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulne,but also because of my love for it, this is no time to engage in the luxury of coding off or to waste our precious time Now is the time to sense a different way of thinking which gives me more poibilities to be in touch with the world.When I learn English.read.Now is time to feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation when I read English novels.now is the time to feel a great confidence within me, When I write English articles which I can see the beauty of the words.I love English, and of course I also love my mother tongue Chinese.Chinese is spoken by billions of people in the world.More and more foreigners are starting to learn Chinese now,especially after the 2008 Olympic Games, I do realize that only when we speak English well can we communicate with foreiners better.Then we can travel around the world, make friends with many people from different countries, more importantly,we will be able to help foreigners learn more about Beijing and more about China.I hope that they can love our country as much as we do.To achieve my dream, I’ve made great efforts.Two years ago, I seized the chance to go to Dos Crazy English Intensive Training Camp for free.I learned a lot there.Since I came back home, I’ve continued to listen and speak English on the road, on a bus, in school and at home.I know, Rome was not built in a day.I believe practice makes perfect.After continuous hard study, one day I can be an international Chinese.This is who I am, a Chinese college student!This is my dream,to spread English throughout China and Chinese throughout the world!
