What can I do for the environmental protection Ladies and Gentlemen Good evening I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.Today my topic is “What can I do for the environmental protection”.I hope you will like it.Today we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems.One the one hand tourism as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go.It has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth and has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity.But on the other hand many problems can occur-natural aren’t natural anymore.Deforestation to heat lodges is devastating Nepal.Oil spills tourist boats are polluting Antarctica.Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dre to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks.All these appalling facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing.From now on we must protect our environment.To protect environment the government must take even more concrete measures.First it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education.Second much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice because more people means more pollution.Those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished.We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.Finally governments should have a lot of work.Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution.We have a lot of more work to do.We should unite in fighting to protect environment.We should be aware of how to pay more attention to our environment not to talk about something orally but to bear something in our hearts.Follow our hearts our environment can be better.Thank you very much.
