-----Help yourself through the hard time
Hello, everyone.It’s my great honor to give you a speech.Today my topic is Help yourself through the Hard Time.Imagine the scene that Socrates meets Confucius.I think that is very interesting.Socrates was the philosopher from ancient Athens and the true father of western thought.Confucius is considered the greatest of the ancient Chinese sages.They are teachers’ofhuman being.Their thoughts have a great influence on people’s values and tastes.As a postgraduate, I like reading LunYu in my spare time.And the thought in the book encourages me to conquer the obstacles in my life.Now I will tell you a true story about myself.Last year I took part in the examination for postgraduates with great effort,but I failed.I was upset and cried.During that sad time it occurs to me one sentence from Lunyu that Do your best and abide by the event.Suddenly I was very calm.Then I knew what I should do.I prepared my graduation eay and found a good job fortunately.I chose to work first and found the chance to pursue my degree.I also worked hard and began to prepare the examination for postgraduates again.I told myself don’t care the result as long as you have tried your best.Winters are very cold in my hometown.I got up earlier in the morning to read English.And then took my breakfast in the bus.After work Istudied late in the night.Before the exam I was nervous because my fear of failure.Then I told myself come on Lily, you are the best.You can do it well.Trust yourself.You have tried your best.Just do your things.Abide the heaven.At last I succeed.Now I am one of the postgraduates of Kunming University of Science and Technology.I realized my dream.I did the things with good mentality.Now that experience with painstaking proce have past.I learned a lot from that hard time.I trust Confucius words that Do your best and abide by the event.That is what I want to share with you all.Do anything , trust yourself and try your best.God ble you.OK.That is all.Thank you.
