Ladies and gentlemen, my dear debaters, good morning!

From where we stand, all the money currently spent on Confucius institutes abroad should not be spent instead on alleviating domestic poverty.As is known to all, Chinese international influence is growing much stronger under globalization.And what on earth benefits of establishing Confucius institutes can bring us can be listed on the following aspects.Firstly, the establishment of Confucius Institute is in order to promote Chinese language to the world, enhance the understanding of Chinese language and culture, develop friendly relations between China and the other countries of the world.Therefore, make the foreigners feel the charm of Chinese culture all over the world, make the foreigners realize that we Chinese are actually very friendly, make the foreigners sense that the rise of China will actually do no harm to them!

Secondly, it benefits the improvement of our soft power.As we all known, the western countries always devote to the so called “Peaceful Evolution”, specially the USA.They expect to change the way we think, our world views, values, and outlook on life by culture output.However, establishing Confucius Institute is a good way to fight back.In the long run, I believe Confucius Institute can be a good media to promote Chinese culture.A positive, peaceful, and tolerant attitude is quite important for both us and foreign country!
