At the very beginning of my presentation, I want to introduce you a good film “UP”, it’s a love story, and also an adventure story about a 78-year–old man, traveled with a house that floats to South America on the strength of a thousand balloons.Thanks for the adventure, he realized his promises to his beloved wife, and made several friends.Yes, my presentation is about South America, which is a beautiful and magical land，but I have never been there before, obviously.And I will be there one day.This is my brief introduction of South America.It’s a joke.South America is a continent of the Americas, situated entirely in the Western Hemisphere and mostly in the Southern Hemisphere.It has a history that spans the full range of human cultural and civilizational forms.Today what I want to share with you is something I interested in.The first thing is its cuisine.A typical of south American cuisine is maize-based dishes(those are tortillas, tamales and taco)

Secondly, I am really attracted by the traditional clothing.Poncho is the traditional clothes of the aboriginal people in Andes.It’s said that it’s as expensive as gold.And you can buy on in Mereado Central, it’s the best market in Lima, the capital of Peru.You can have a discount of 10 to 30 percents.But please have an eye on your belongings.The next one is Latin dance.There are five different kinds of Latin dance, and each one has its own feature, for example, rumba is powerful, samba stands for paion, cha cha is active, jive can amuse us, paso doble is graceful.What’s more, I was really infected by their outburst of enthusiasm when they have the carnivals.Carnival is a festive season during February.During Carnival, people have a public celebration or parade combining or public street party.They dre up, and rejoice with wild excitement.Speaking of South America, there are two people I admire, the first one, I am sorry about that, paed away about a week ago, he was an author of many great books, like One Hundred Years of Solitude、Love in the Time of Cholera.He is Gabricl Garcia Marquez

The other one is Che Guevara.Che was a true warrior, a fearle leader and a genius who inspired many young men to fight for their nation.And his sayings really touch my heart.I choose three of them to share with you.To accomplish much you must first lose everything.Better to die standing, than to live on your knees

In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm.Since we have known much about south America, let me introduce some places well worth visting.When you are in Brazil, your priority is to visit Rio de Janerio, it’s famous for its sugar loaf mountain, Corcovado beach and Corcovado Mountain, and the statue of Christ is one of the new 7 wonders of the world.Amazon rainforest takes up the half of the rainforest area in the world, and it’s

also the largest one.It’s said that fishing and eating piranha are the most interesting thing to do in Amazon.If you visit Chile, you are not gonna mi Torres Del Paine national park and Easter island.The park has the highest altitude in amerces and turns out to be the best place to hike.Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called moai.General Carrera Lake is a lakeshared by Argentina and Chile.It’s the largest lake in chile.Iguazu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border between Argentinaand Brazil.It’s the widest waterfall in the world.Machu picchu is situated in Peru, it’s often referred to as the “lost city of Incas”, it’s a pre-Columbia Inca site, and you can see it was used to be an empire.Ok, here comes the best part for me, Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat.And it’s called the mirror in the sky.Angle fall is in Venezuela, it’s the highest uninterrupted fall in the world.and it is also the clue and final dream in the film up, here it is.There are still so many places I didn’t introduce to you.Sorry for them.At the end of my lecture, I hope you all achieve what you dreamed of when you were a kid.
