What We Can't Afford to Lose

Good afternoon，teachers and students！

It’s my honour to stand here to make a speech.What We Can't Afford to Lose is our dream.About 50 years ago, Martin Luther King led a civil rights

movement in Washington, because he has a dream that all men are created equal;25 years ago, Chris Gardner became a

millionaire, Because he has a dream to live a good life;and 4

years ago, Barack Obama was elected the first black President of the United States of America, because he also has a dream to

change;So you can see how a dream can change a life.You can see to over come all the obstacles and succeed in our lives, dream of making us more perfect is what we cannot afford to lose.Everyone should have a dream ,and everyone can’t afford to lose it ,no matter who we are ,or where we are from ,or what we look like.Most succeful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great.However ,we need to the true dream.Take our campus life for example ,Some students are crazy about meaningle computer games they sit in front of the computer day and night, Some

students like to sleep in the dormitory , they also have a dream，to be a doctor ,to be a write or to be a scientist ,but all these are daydream.The true dream can keep us going, it represent

poibility even when we are dragged down by reality.The true dream reminds us to move forward, to struggle, to strive all the

time.The road of life is tough,and there are always ups and downs, we will meet many difficults and frustrations,maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and we may feel depreed , but never mind,Where you fall down,is where you should stand up, for your dream and future!In the university’s four-year journey, what we have achieved in the proce of pursuing dreams will help us

accumulate maive valuable experiences which can become our advantages when competing with others in our future career.All in all You got a dream, you gotta protect it and the happine will knock at your door sooner or later.At the end of my speech, I just want to claim that: Dream is a beacon, without it, there is no life.Dream is really what we cannot afford to lose.I can’t imagine the world without dream.How about you?
