Good afternoon，ladies and gentlemen，I feel very honored to stand here to present my speech.First of all, let me introduce myself.My name is **, **years old, I’m from 系别，I want to talk about the positive and negative effects of the internet in the following part.As we all know that we are in the internet era, internet plays a very important role in our modern life.It has revolutionized our lives in many ways.First and foremost, Internet makes our study and work more convenient.And now there are a lot of searching engines on the Internet, such as Google and Baidu, supplying more and more information by a very quick way.We can get whatever information we want with only several clicks.And internet is also a window on the world for children.They can get more information and knowledge from this window.It helps not only children but us expand our horizons and broaden our mind.Besides, Internet is just like a bridge of communicating, which greatly promotes the relationships between people.I think that almost every person here has an experience of Shopping online ,which has become a modern part of our life.Because it saves both money and time, and offers more choices for customers.Well, when we are enjoying the convenience of the internet, we should take account of the negative effects of the internet seriously.For example, too many students ignore study since they are addicted to computer games.And there are so many traps that beyond our guard.Moreover, A great deal of junk information spread through the Internet, which disturb our life terribly.Last but not least, people spend so much time surfing the internet at the cost of their health.It has been a serious problem which more attentions should be given.Such as computer’s radiation.People who spent more time on the Internet spent le time socializing with peers, communicated le within the family and felt more lonely and depreed.Generally speaking, Internet is a double edged sword.If we know what we need clearly and how to take advantage of internet responsibly.I’m sure it will affect our modern life in a positive way and make our life more wonderful and splendid.
