Good afternoon, everyone!I’m Shi Jinjia from Cla 5, Grade 7.I’m very happy today because I can be with you and talk about my favourite festival—Christmas!
Christmas is the most important festival in the West, just like the Spring Festival in China.People in the West celebrate Christmas to commemorate Jusus Christ.They get ready for Christmas celebrations in early December.Parents usually buy a Christmas tree and some presents for their children.They decorate the tree together with their children.They put a lot of shiny stars on the tree and an angel on top of the tree.How beautiful the tree is!
On Christmas Eve, children always put their stockings at the end of their own beds.Father Christmas will fill the stockings with a lot of nice presents.Do you know who Father Christmas is? Right, their father is!On the eve, all the family members will get together and have a big dinner.They usually have a lot of food: Christmas cookies, pumpkin cakes, apple juice and so on.After the dinner, people will make the pray, sing and dance around the Christmas tree!Everyone is every happy!
Now, more and more Chinese people enjoy Christmas Day.They send Christmas cards to each other on Christmas Day.They also have Christmas parties on Christmas Eve.Christmas is coming up.Let’s open our arms and welcome it warmly!
