Rome Was not Built in a Day Do you admire the succeful person? Have you ever tried to find out the recipe why they become triumphant but you haven’t? As an old saying goes:“Rome was not built in a day.” To a flower, people are only amazed at her present bright luster while have little awarene of her burgeons saturated with struggling tear.Today, I am very appreciated to share my opinions in terms of this old saying with all of you.Above all, I am glad to expre my central understanding to you, that is the fact that only when we spare constant effort and hold on our firm belief can we truly create a miracle and make achievement.Now let me take an example of Cui Wanzhi, an online retailer.Born in a destitute family, he had suffered an accident when young and had his legs broken, but he had great brains.Although his body was in poor condition compared with the well-being people, it is amazing that he was admitted into Xinjiang Shihezi University, a key university of China.Majoring in economy management during his college’s life, he drew his picture on market selling so that he would keep on selling daily items door-to-door, which became the footstone to his future enterprise.After graduation, he submitted his resumes like many other graduates but unfortunately failed, just because of his physical problem.After that Cui Wanzhi made up his mind to start a busine for chi-pao.However, at first, not only was his decision of making chi-pao notsupported and understood by his parents and wife, but also everyone tried to persuade him to give up his idea.Despite ridicule and scorn, he still confirmed that only if he exerted constant effort and sticked to his guns would he realize his dream.Therefore, he insisted on fighting for quite a long time and finally he produced the brand of Butterfly’s Love in 2008 and Sparrow’s Love in 2013.Unexpectedly, with his guns of Small but Pretty, his chi-pao ranked the first three and enjoyed the reputation of original brand.In my point of view, it is constant effort and continuous accumulation which contributed to his great succe.After reading his story, I can’t help recalling my memory two years ago.Ordinary looking, poor experience, I seemed to be the least outstandingone in the competition.Unwilling to submit to the fate, I paid more effort on my hosting practice and pronunciation training, because I just wanted to take every little opportunity to prove myself.Eventually, constant effort yielded sure succe, that is why I could stand here to deliver my speech today.However, I find that nowadays many college students do things without constant effort and persistence.They are so eager to strive for succe but what they did was in vain.What’s worse, a large part of them are afraid of failure when in face of difficulties and lack sense of struggle.In my point of view, if our graduates want to realize goals, we should begin with basic level and should not look down upon the work with dirty and poor condition, and most importantly, Rome was not built in a day.It is constant effort and continuous accumulation which contribute to the great succe.Only when we cultivate our ability and accumulate more experience will we succeed in building up the Rome belongs to ourselves.Do you agree with me?
