Four years ago, I found a job in a high school in my hometown.When I first came to the cla, a girl attracted my attention.She was very beautiful and cheerful, however , she had no right hand.I wondered why she was so optimistic in such a situation.One day, I got the answer when we chatted with each other.It was a Friday afternoon, she and I sat on the playground.She looked at the students running on the playground, suddenly she asked me, “Mi Zhang, are they beautiful?” Before I could answer, she continued, “I really think they are beautiful.Mi.Zhang, you know, I also like running , when I’m running, I think I'm beautiful, too.”
After a few seconds , she told me her story.When I was 7 years old, an accident took away my right hand, from then on, great changes had happened in my life.Mi Zhang, can you imagine that you fold the quilt just with your left hand? Can you imagine that you eat food just with your left hand or can you imagine that you write things just with your left hand ? Maybe you can’t imagine the all.In fact, for me, I could imagine and bear the all, the only thing that I couldn’t imagine was just the ridicules from my friends.My friends were far away from me, and they often shouted to me, “Monster, you are really
ugly.Oh, you see, she has only one hand.” The kind of words really hurt me.I knew that I was different, I believed deep in my heart that no one outside my family could love me , or even like me.Then I became more and more negative, I didn't want to talk with anyone, I didn't want to make friends with anyone.The only thing that I wanted to do was just to live in my own world without anyone.Six years later, we had a new head teacher, Mi Li.She was so friendly, I liked her very much.Most of the time, I wanted to answer her questions, but I had no courage to stand up, until one month later, Mi Li told us, “There will be a sports meeting in our school, girls, who wants to take part in the 1000-meter race?” No one raised their hands, at this moment, I caught the trust in her eyes, I suddenly hold the courage to stand up, I wanted to take part in the race.I wanted to make Mi Li happy.One week later, when I was standing on the starting line, I said to myself, “Come on!Don't let Mi Li down!” So when the coach yelled,” Ready, set, go!” I jetted out of there like an airplane, faster than anyone for the first.But by the end of the second lap , a lot of people paed me.When I croed the finish line , I was the last.I fell to the ground and began to cry, I was so sad.Suddenly Mi Li came to hold me tightly," You are so beautiful, You are so beautiful , my honey, I’m so proud of you.” Hearing the words and looking at her
eyes, I really thought I was the most beautiful girl in this world, all of a sudden, I held the confidence to overcome all the difficulties in my life.From then on, I began to make friends, I began to answer the questions, I began to change everything, and then, I become this kind of person who you know now.After telling me her experience, there was a big smile on her face.Looking at her smile, my heart was touched and I realized an important leon: Our teachers should catch every opportunity to aist our students because simple and sincere words or gestures from us may help them towards self-accomplishments or even change their life.
