Hold on to your dreams Good morning everyone.I'm glad to give you a short speech today and my topic is hold on to your dreams.As soon as I say that,what we first remind is the famous speech made by Martin Luther King called“I have a dream”,which inspired many black Americans fight for there rights.So,do you have dreams?Yes,of course.Leo Tolstoy once said:ideal is the beacon.without ideal, there is no secure direction;without direction, there is no life.No matter who you are and what you do,the power sustains us to move,that is the dream.Perhaps your dream is to set up your own company although you are an employee at present.Perhaps your dream is to travel around the world although you can't even pay for the bus fare.Perhaps your dream is to become a famous singer although you still make great efforts on prounciation.Someone once told me:Dream is only a dream.It's simply within sight but beyond reach.That's absolutely wrong.Hard is not the same meaning of impoible.Just as Goethe said: the important thing in life is to have a great aim, and the determination to attain it.You must first know where you want to go and then find the way.Mrs Curic held on her dreams,so she found a new element called radium,which is an important material of atomic bomb.Steve Jobs held on his dreams,so he set up the Apple empire,which ten millions of person use them.Kobe Bryant held on his dreams,so he got five NBA championship rings,which gave him infinite honor.Hold on to your dreams,for if dreams die,life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.Hold on to your dreams,for when dreams go,life is a barren field frozen with snow.And if you have lost your dreams,don't worry,just pick them up and make them alive.I hope all of us can achieve our dreams.Thank you very much.
