Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.I would like to welcome you to the campus final of the twentieth “FLTRP cup” National English Debating Competition.This place will be your stage to show your ability in debating and I am your hoste.Firstly, I have the great privilege of presenting today’s honored judges for this Debate Contest.Ladies and gentlemen, let’s welcome our judges: Teachers of English Major from School of Foreign Studies of South China Normal University xxx and xxx Now I would like to introduce the rules for this contest, in Chinese.本次大赛采用的英国议会制辩论形式
辩手发言依照“正方上院一辩，反方上院一辩，正方上院二辩，反方上院二辩，正方下院一辩，反方下院一辩，正方下院二辩，反方下院二辩”的顺序
每位辩手发言时间均为5分钟，辩手提出质询的时间应在发言人讲话的第2到第4分钟之间，被提问的辩手可以接受或回绝质询，如果接受质询，被提问辩手有10秒时间提出异议或提出问题，质询和回答的时间记在被提问辩手发言时间中
发言计时以辩手开始说话为始，所有发言内容，包括致谢和开场白等，都在计时范围内，计时人员将在以下时间点向选手示意：
第一分钟末 举牌一次 允许开始提出质询 第四分钟末 举牌一次 提出质询的时间结束 第五分钟末 举牌 发言时间结束，如果此时选手仍未停止演讲，且不听从主持人的引导，则要扣除相应分数并视为犯规
