By the end of the leon, students should be able to: 1.Talk about their favorite transportation means in simply words or sentences.2.Could describe the position of certain object correctly.3.Be able to use the language they learned to finish a dialogue and a short paage, have the interest of English learning.4.Use interview strategies to find out information and take notes.5.Learn to be a good listener and brave to ask questions in English.Teaching contexts: vocabulary of transportation means.Sentences: where is my toy car?
It’s on the mat.Teaching aids: tapes, blackboard, chalk, PPT, pictures, a toy bear.Teaching procedures: Step 1.Review(8 mins)(1)Warm up : a song “train, bus, bike”(with flash)(2)Students write the names of the transportation means they already know on paper.(3)Students draw a simply picture for their favorite transportation means and share it with cla.(4)Teacher summarizes, and write the words on board.Step 2.Learn the new words.(10 mins)(1)Teacher use pictures and sounds to introduce the words, and students find the transportation means in the texts.(2)Teachers use the game “model” to practice the new words, until students read it correctly.(3)Teachers show the picture of localizer and have a quick revision.Step 3.Learn the new sentences.(5 mins)(1)Students listen the type, find out the meaning of the sentences, then teacher encourage the students to analyze the sentences.(2)Pair-work: Students make the similar dialogue with the help of pictures and clues.Step 4.More practices(17 mins)Game 1: Teacher prepare a toy bear.One group hide it in the claroom, and another group gue where the bear is.Then change the role.Teacher encourage the students to finish simple dialogues.Game 2: Image they’ll have a travel, students have to make a plan, like to decide where to go, how to get there and provide some useful aids.Students could pick the individual of other group to answer the questions.Review: Summarize the key language points in groups, and show them in the screen to help the students take notes.Homework:(3 mins)1.Do some exercise about the key words and sentences.2.(chose one of the following):(1)(Show a picture to students)you cloud write down the sentences about where the toy or the animal is.At least 5 sentences.The more, the better.Discu them with your partner after finished.(2)Write a short paage about your bedroom or your ideal bedroom, you could also draw a picture for it ,share it with your friends.material
