I have…”(The students can gue in Chinese)3 then Andy introduces his new school things one by one very proudly, e.g.“I have a ruler, a new ruler!” Activity 2: Group work 1 in this activity, the students are asked to point at the school things they hear from the tape.2 check the answers.Activity 3: Group work 1 the students listen to the teacher’s instructions and show the school things they hear as quickly as poible.2 award points to those who respond the most quickly.Activity 4: Role play 1 get equal numbers of students from the four teams to the front of the claroom.2 play with them a competitive game in which they listen and get the school things the teacher says from a desk in some distance as quickly as poible.Activity 5 play games 1 put

the pictures of a pencil, a bag and a book on the blackboard

and number them 1, 2, 3.2 say the numbers and get the students to say the corresponding

items.3 after the students with saying these items, add pictures of a ruler, a pencil-case and rubber, and number them 4, 5, 6.4 say the numbers and lead the students to say the corresponding items until they get familiar with saying the 6 items.5 randomly remove the pictures on the blackboard one at a time form the sequence and ask the students to say the items including the miing pictures.6 do it several times, first with the whole cla and then with the students individually.Unit 7 Sports Objectives: 1 doing sports;2 Talking about one’s favorite sports and keeping fit.Activity 1: warm up 1 bring the puppet Andy and his new school bag into claroom again.Andy asks the students to gue what’s in his bag.Activity 2: Group work 1 play the tape and show the school items at the same time to help the students understand the song.2 encourage the students to sing the song “ I have a new pencil” with actions of showing their new school things.3 within this period, teach them to say the word new and the sentence pattern “ I have” correctly in a meaningful context.Activity 3: Discuion 1 in this activity, ask the students to match the school things with their

owners after listening to the tape.2 check the answers.Activity 4: Practice 1 ask the students to display the school things in their school bags on the desks.2 tell others within the groups about them using language like “ I have a pencil in my bag.It’s new!” I have an eraser and a ruler”.Etc.Unit 8 Combating Bad Moods Objectives: Combating bad feelings;2 Expreing negative feelings;3 Providing comfort and reaurance.Activity1: Warm up Encourage the students to sing the song “ I have a new pencil” again with actions of showing their new school things.Activity 2: Group work 1 tell a story with the help of pictures or regalia(e.g.puppets, stationery, etc.)To the students.2 the teacher can tell the story twice, making use of vivid voice and facial expreions, gestures and actions, etc.to attract the students.Activity 3: Discuion The students try to retell the story with the help of the teacher and the regalia.Activity 4: 1 gives enough time for the students to dramatize the story in groups.2 give chances for them to act out.they can use their own school things to replace the originals and design their own stories.3 go around and provide help with the students’ language and performance.Activity 5: Discuion 1 in this activity, the students need to speak for the people in the picture in accordance.2 check the answers.Unit 9 Food Objectives: 1 Describing food;2.Talking about likes and dislikes;3.Ordering food in a restaurant.Activity1: Warm up 1 hold up a set of flash cards with the printed words of the school things, say the words one by one.2 get the students to choose from another set of flash cards with pictures of the school things to match the pictures with the words.3 then rearrange the orders of the printed words.4 ask the students to match the pictures with the words again.5 do it several times, mainly with the individual students

Activity 2: Practice 1 in the activity, the students are asked to search for the words in the grid about school things looking at the pictures and words under the grid and then circling the words.2 check the answers.Activity 3: Play games 1 put on the blackboard a big piece of paper on which the chant is written.2 listen to the chant together once.3 tell the students they need to stick the pictures of school things beside the corresponding printed words in the chant after they hear the chant for the second time.
