人教版新课标高中英语必修二 第二单元(Unitthe Olympic Games)第一课时(阅读课)【教学目标】
(1)知识目标:了解下列单词,短语和句子。
A.重点单词:Greek, magical, volunteer, homeland, athlete, nowadays, gymnastics, stadium, responsibility, replace B.重点短语:be admitted as, as well, compete against/for, play an important role in, on a regular basis
(2)能力目标:
A.让学生进一步熟悉、掌握一些阅读技巧,比如快速寻找文章细节信息(scanning)、归纳和总结(summarizing)等。
B.让学生熟悉奥运会,并能简述奥运会的基本知识。
C.培养学生自主学习,带着目标学习,带着任务学习,学会学习的能力。(3)情感目标:
帮助学生理解奥运精神,使学生更加关注奥运会,体验用英语在情境中分享自己的成功和喜悦。
【教学重点】
1)Get students to learn about the differences between the ancient Olympic Games and the modern Olympic Games.2)Get students to learn different reading skills such as skimming and scanning.【教学难点】
1)Develop students’ reading abilities.2)Develop students’ awarene of using English to expre their own opinions.【教学策略】
1)教学方法:本课篇幅长,阅读量大,为了达成上述教学目标,运用任务型教学方法,采用启发式,合作式与讨论式相结合的教学法。奥运会这一体育盛事对于大部分学生来说,比较熟悉,但是词汇较难掌握。教师在教学中便要引导学生在情境中掌握和使用词汇和捕捉具体信息细节,充分给学生交流与讨论的机会,做到与学生为中心。
对学生来说,主要是启发主动参与、善于思考、注重搜集和处理信息,并且领悟科学的阅读方法,提高阅读能力。
2)教学辅助手段:课本,多媒体课件,黑板,录音机

Discu about it with the help of mind map of Ex.3 on P11.在这个环节,教师会展示北京奥运会学生熟悉的一些情景和运动员,为对话练习提供素材,同时就是否要主办奥运会这一个话题进行小组讨论,学生需要综合运用本节课所学的知识训练其用英语进行思维和表达的能力。
Step 5 Homework:
1.Preview the new words in the text and finish Ex.1,2&3 on P12 of Students’ Book.2.Prepare for the dictation of Unit1.布置作业,巩固落实训练,注重教学效果的反馈。
2、将您自己的教学设计成果付诸实践,用“教学实施效果评价量表”来评价您的教学实施,写一份教学反思。
教学反思:
1.大多数学生都能积极的参与到学习活动中来,表现出了浓厚的学习兴趣,强烈的参与意识、合作意识、竞争意识、和效率意识,在老师的指导下,根据不同的学习任务临时的调整学习策略,通过课堂发言和课后作业的了解分析,我认为大多数学生已经较好的掌握了本节课的重点,能够以谈论The Olympic Games为主体进行写作,并且不少学生在遣词造句和文章的布局谋篇上显示出较为扎实的写作功底,学生的听说读写译方面的能力得到了提高,综合语言的运用能力和交际能力得到了加强。
2.本节课突出了新课改以人为本的教学理念,学生成为学习的主动参与者,在整个课堂活动中,他们用所学的英语在做事情,在做事情的过程中,发展了语言能力、思维能力、合作及交流的能力。
3.还需改进的地方:教师给学生完成任务的时间较仓促;学生表达支持或反对申办奥运会的原因时有一定的困难,老师应给予一定的指导。
