1.本节课主要体现了任务型教学原则，让学生在“学中用，用中学”。学生活动的设计贴近学生生活和经验，使学生在自然、真实的情境中体会语言，掌握语言，并得体地加以运用。学生通过完成Pairwork , Groupwork , Listening and speaking等特定的任务来获得并积累学习经验。在任务进行的过程，学生有充分的时间和空间展示自我。
2.引导学生总结自己所体会的学习经验，以此来巩固知识并培养学生的学习策略。
3.开展小组合作学习，并积极开展学习小组之间的竞争，前三名的小组被评为先进学习小组，从而激发学生的兴趣和参与热情，培养了小组成员之间的团结合作精神和竞争意识，提高了学生完成任务的质量。
小组合作学习中出现的一些问题是由于学生不善于合作，不知道怎样合作造成的。因此，在英语教学中教师要有意识地逐渐培养学生的合作学习能力。例如，培养学生学会如何表达自己的观点、学会倾听他人的意见、学会讨论问题、认识小组合作学习的重要性、建立团结互助的关系和增强小组成员的集体责任感等等。
