I,Status and function: This leon as we all know, it is a reading paage.It plays an important part in the English learning of().By learning this leon, the students can develope their ability of reading and increase their interest in().If the students can learn it well, it will be helpful to make them understand the rest of this unit.According to the new standard curriculum and syllabus, after analyzing the teaching material, I think the teaching aims and demands are the following.II,Teaching aims and demands 1, Knowledge objects.(1), the students can hear, read, and use main patterns, such as...(2), the students can use these patterns to expre their thoughts in the proper situations.2,Ability objects.(1)To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.(2)To train the Ss’ abilities of working in pairs.3,Moral objects.(1), By completing the tasks, the students can increase their interest in()and set up their confidence in().(2), Teach the students know what()is and put the moral education in the study of language.III,Teaching key and difficult points From my understanding, there are almost two teaching key and difficult points: 1, How to let the students retell this text by using their own words.2, How to let the students make a dialogue by using the language points.IV,The analysis of the students The students, they have already known something about(), but they are lack
of vocabulary.And mostly, they will not use English to expre their thoughts, because they are afraid of making mistakes.Part2: the teaching methods
According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’ learning background, I will mainly use the Total Situational Action method and the Task-based Language Teaching method.The former is a “scene — activity” teaching method.It establishes a real scene and the interaction between the teacher and the students.The latter offers the students an opportunity to complete the tasks in which students can use language to achieve some specific outcomes.Part3:the studying methods Some students are not active in the cla, and some even don’t like English.Therefore, I will let the students study in a relaxed atmosphere.The students can understand the language points by listening speaking thinking and observing.After understanding the language points, I will let the students get knowledge by cooperative study.In a word, I will: 1, Teach the students how to be succeful language leaners.2, Let the students pa “Observation-Imitation-Practice” to study language.Part4:the teaching procedure I will finish my leon in five steps.What comes first in the warming-up.Step1: Warming-up I will divide this cla into four groups, and bring a competition into this cla.So as to make the students name().At last let’s see which group is the winner.Purpose of my design: To make the students know something about the story of()and understand the background of this paage better.Besides, I think proper competition can arouse the students interest in learning English.Step2: Presentation
I’ll use the CAI to present the language points, and arrange some situations to help the students understand the language points.I’ll write the key points on the blackboard while they are watching.After watching, I’ll teach them to read these new words and make sure they can read and understand them well.Purpose of my design:To present the language points by CAI is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings.CAI can provide a real situation by its sound
and pictures.Step3: Practice At first, I will play the tape recorder, and let the Ss listen to it carefully.After that, I will require the Ss to read this paage loudly.And then, I’ll ask some Ss to answer the questions about this paage on the screen.Each student can represent his or her group.Purpose of my design: This step is designed to let the Ss get the main idea of this paage.And the Ss have a chance to practice their spoken ability.Step4: Production First, I will require the students to skim this paage once agin, and try to retell it in his own words.Both English or Chinese will be okay.If the students have some trouble to retell it, I will give them some clues.After retelling this paage, I will give the students a scene which is similar to this paage.And the students will be given a task to make a dialogue about this scene by using the language points they have jut learned.If the students have some trouble to make this dialogue, I will show them some examples.Purpose of my design: “Task-based” Language Teaching method is used here to develop the Ss’ abilities of communication and cooperation.And by using the language points they have just learned, the students will be more familiar with them.Step5: Homework 1, To recite the words as many as poible after cla.2, To make a dialogue by using the language points and write it in the exercise book.Purpose of my design: I think homework is so important that the Ss should speak English as much as poible.And it is neceary for the Ss to do some exercise so as to master the knowledge they learned in cla.Part5: the blackboard design On the top, I write the title of this unit.On the left, I will write the key points.In the middle, I will write the sentence structures.And on the right, I will show the power point by multimedia.And this design can help the students to understand this leon clearly and memorize these words easily.
