教育的初一英语作文
Throughout the millennia, students of all ages in China have had to endure the miseries of learning by rote. Teachers have stifled creativity in the pursuit of the accumulation of facts, and parents have forced children to spend mind-numbing hours cramming for exams. But for the past year, the government has been experimenting with what could amount to revolutionary changes in Chinas classrooms. The aim is to make education more pleasant, more useful and, above all, to challenge students to think for themselves.
What has prompted the reforms is a belated recognition that Chinas education system is failing to produce enough innovative thinkers. In addition, students are deeply unhappy. A survey conducted by the Education Ministry five years ago found more than 80% of students disliked school. Dropout rates have been rising in rural areas—partly for economic reasons but also because of the stultifying atmosphere of their classrooms. Exam pressures frequently lead to suicides. According to a survey last year among senior secondary-school students and university freshmen in one area, more than 50% had considered killing themselves.
Several other countries in East Asia, including Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, are grappling with similar problems. But the implications of Chinas reform efforts are particularly profound. Chinas traditional education methods are ideally suited to a political culture that requires citizens to submit blindly to authority. By encouraging students to question their teachers and regard them as equals (even official literature now talks of fostering a “democratic” atmosphere in classrooms), China could be ushering in a new kind of relationship between the rulers and the ruled.
整个几千年,在中国所有年龄段的学生不得不忍受苦难的死记硬背。老师扼杀创造力的追求事实的积累,和家长迫使孩子花的小时死记硬背的考试。但在过去的一年里,政府一直在尝试什么革命性的变化在中国的教室。目的是使教育更愉快、更有用,最重要的是,挑战学生独立思考。
什么促使改革是一个迟来的承认,中国的教育系统是无法产生足够的创新的思想家。此外,学生感到非常不满。五年前教育部进行的一项调查发现,超过80%的学生不喜欢学校。农村辍学率一直在上升的'经济原因,还因为愚蠢的教室的气氛。经常考试压力导致自杀。去年的一项调查显示,在高级中学学生和大学新生在一个地区,超过50%的人认为是自杀。
其他几个国家在东亚,包括日本、韩国和台湾,也面临着类似的问题。但中国的改革努力的影响尤为深刻。中国传统的教育方法是适合一个政治文化,需要公民提交盲目权威。通过鼓励学生质疑老师和把他们视为等于(甚至现在官方文学对话培养“民主”的气氛中在教室),中国可能成为引领一种新的统治者和被统治者之间的关系。

2013.9.5 星期四 晴
下午是303班的第二节英语正课，内容为unit 1 Hello 的单词部分。本节课基本完成教学任务，但在时间分配和课堂进度的掌握方面依然有待加强。如果这堂课就这么结束，那么，这节课的反思重点依然会紧扣教学设计。但有个小插曲便就是这样发生了。
应该是机械操练单词eraser的环节，随机指定了靠门的大组，两人开小火车，依次朗读单词。进行到最后一个学生，有节奏的朗读突然被长久的沉寂代替。再看，末位的一个女生已是双眼通红。前座的课代表小声说，老师，她哭了。
“Follow me, ei, ei, eraser.”沉默。
“ei, ei, eraser.”沉默。
“没关系，跟着老师念，ei-”不想用英语再给她造成压迫，无奈最终放弃，选择了中文。
“老师相信你一定可以的！ei-”目光定焦在她的嘴巴。此时的我不期盼她发出正确的音，只想她张嘴而已，但依旧是沉默。
顾及到课堂四十多双眼睛盯着她，她更尴尬，况且，课堂总还是得继续。于是示意孩子先坐下。结果，没过几秒，课代表举手说她哭得更厉害了。狠了狠心，没有理会。
终于等到下课，收拾了课本、道具，拉了一个孩子，搂着她小声地问。
“刚刚那个女生叫什么名字？”
“朱琳。”
“她平时表现怎么样？其他功课成绩怎么样？”
“嗯…她就是平时特别爱哭。总是动不动就哭。但是她的成绩还是蛮好的。”
“噢~这样，那老师相信她还是能学会的。嗯，谢谢~”
走向朱琳，这时候的她埋头在看一本故事书。
“来，咱们把英语课本拿出来。”幸好，她没有像课上我望着的那张小嘴，久久期待却一动不动。她安静地把书本拿了出来。
“老师相信你会的。老师念一遍，你念一遍，好么？”沉默。
“I-”沉默。
“来，看老师的嘴巴。I-”沉默，低头不看我。
“来，看老师的嘴巴。I-”沉默。
“老师知道你会的。没有关系，大家都是从不会变会的吖。来，看我嘴巴。”沉默。再等了一会儿，她转过了脸，眼睛看向我的嘴，依旧不敢看我。很好，良好的开始！
“张大嘴巴，I-”
“I“终于，小嘴打开了。
从一个音节，慢慢地，朱琳愿意跟读单词了。但眼泪还是啪嗒啪嗒地流下来。一个孩子拿来纸巾，“朱琳，你读吖，没有关系的。“
时间差不多了，又安慰了朱琳几句。当我走回讲台，拿起包准备离开时，发现朱琳趴在桌上哭得更厉害了。我想，总有一些坎要孩子自己花时间慢慢来过。于是，没有折回，提包离开了教室。
这应该仅仅只是一个开始。我会看着她一点一点自信起来。
