As for teaching and learning, I like an old saying by Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I forget.Teach me and I remember.Involve me and I learn.” So I want all of you to get involved in my cla as much as poible, instead of just being a listener.To make sure that you are involved, I have some rules for you to follow for these 2 years.And your final score will be decided on how well you follow these rules.Final score: Cla attendence 5%(application for leave is effective only with the signature of your tutor;Being late for more than 5 minutes would be treated the same as being absent)

Cla performance 20%(answering questions, activities, exercises, after-cla tasks, self-study in network claroom etc.)

Oral test 10%(the last week of each semester, you will take an oral test)Group aement 5%(you will set up several groups of 5-6 Ss.The last week of each semester, members in each group should ae the other members of the same group)(aement criteria: attitude, action, achievement)

Final exam 60%

Group work: set up groups with whoever you want.5-6 Ss form a group.Elect a group eader.The leader should be responsible for the whole group.During the semester, each group will have to finish several tasks aigned by me.(preview jobs, research, role-play, oral practice etc.)The group leader should report to me the absence of your members, if not and I find out, both of the absent student and the leader will be punished.I need you to elect an aistant for english cla.To make our communication more convenient.I’d like know something about you.Introduce yourself briefly(name, hometown, school, hobby,expection for college etc.)If you want to be my aistant, declare it, and tell your clamates why you are qualified for it.The aistant makes a list to register those groups , their leaders and their telephone numbers.Hand it to me next cla.Network study: every week, we will have two claes in network claroom.During these period, you should study and finish tasks mainly by yourself and with group members with the guidance of the teacher and the help of the information resources in computers;We will also have listening claes with some oral training and practice.(contents: preview, review and exercises,listening leon A , fast-reading)

Every other week, you will have another two claes in network claroom to study.(self-directed english learning system)
