“Each of us was in your life for a reason.You may not have known the reason at the time, and that is what heaven is for, for understanding your life on earth.”As the Blue Man said to Eddie, each life is aociated with another, which is like the cobbles at the bottom of the river, one related to each other.The five people Eddie met in heaven taught him five leons.The Blue Man gave the first leon to him, about the equality between life and death.In our world, every day there is someone killed because of other people directly or indirectly.But we shouldn’t regard this phenomenon as unfairne.There is life, so there is death.The captain, the second person Eddie met in heaven, ever saved Eddie at the expense of his own life.He gave the second leon to Eddie, about sacrifice.It is unneceary for anyone to regret their sacrifice they ever did, even the lo of precious life.Because we should realize that we haven’t lost our lives actually, the lives we lost are just continued by another form, and by another person.The third person Eddie met in heaven is a woman called Ruby.She is the wife of the owner of the park in which Eddie worked.Ruby enabled Eddie to change his incomprehension about his father, and make each of us know that hatred is a kind of poison, when we hurt others, we are also hurting ourselves.Only by getting rid of hatred can we live a happy
life.Then Eddie met his beloved wife, Marguerite.After Marguerite’s death, Eddie was always in low spirits.But she told Eddie and told all of us, lost love is still love,it only takes a different form.You can’t see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor.But when those senses weaken, another heightens, memory becomes your partner.You nurture it.You hold it.You dance with it.The last person in Eddie’s heaven is the girl Eddie failed to save in the war.In Eddie’s eyes, he never did anything well.But actually, Eddie was always protecting the children played in the park by his careful working and his love.So the last leon the girl gave Eddiewas that everything we do is meaningful, and we have accomplished many things in our limited life.The story of Eddie ended at last.But I still remember that Marguerite said, life has to end, but love doesn’t.
