Jane Eyre is a monument of British literature.The book was written by an English novelist, Charlotte Bronte.It was a claic romance novel which was published in 1847 and was one of the most famous British novels of all time.Jane Eyre was a poor orphan, so she was adopted by her uncle and aunt when she was a baby.Before long, her uncle died.Jane’s aunt and her children were unkind to her and never failed to emphasize how she is below them.Jane couldn’t put up with the humiliation and fought with them, though she was week and isolated.At the age of ten, she was sent to a Charity school, in fact it was a orphanage, which she spent eight-year hard times.Jane faced up to loneline, hunger, disease and heavy manual work, in the meanwhile, she studied hard, and persistently improved the quality in moral character.Finally she became a qualified teacher after the six-year course.When she was 18, she put out an advertisement in the local paper and soon got a position as governe in Thorn field.Her job was to teach a young French girl, Adele Varens.At that time, in the so-called polite society, she was just an ordinary employee, nobody would pay more attention to her.But she worked earnestly, treated people sincerely and acted sedately, consequently, she could soon get the respect and trust from the housekeeper and the hero, Rochester.When Jane realized the upright and the good side of Rochester, she couldn’t help to develop

compaion and adoration.At a family feast, she met a rival in love, a rich woman who was arrogant.She knew clearly that she was weaker than the rich woman in appearance and family background, but She believed that the pure love was more superior than the hypocrisy of the aristocracy of the bourgeoisie.Therefore, she doubly encouraged and confidently thought that it was herself who perfectly matched with Rochester.When she fell in love with him in equal status and be ready to get married, she learned unexpectedly that his wife is still alive.Although she had trouble discarding the love, but she detained to be a mistre.Jane left Rochester resolutely and determinedly.After begging in the vast wasteland for a few days, finally she arrived in a farmhouse and got the relief from the three siblings, the master of the farmhouse.She settled down there, but wasn’t willing to accept handouts in vain.After recovering Jane made a living as a teacher in the village immediately.A year later, she received a sum of money from her uncle by an accidental chance.What’s more, she also knew that the three sibling were her aunt’s daughter.Jane thought kinship was more important than property, so she shared the heritage with the three sibling.Her cousin is a priest, before he decided to go to India to do miionary work, he pleaded with Jane for getting marry with him so that she could act as his aistant.But Jane despised that kind of a marriage without love and she declined resolutely.During those two years spending in the village, she mied Rochester all the time.She decided to go back to Thorn field to see what had happened because she failed to inquire something about him.But in the way she heard that in a fire, the whole house had already burnt into ruin.Rochester was seriously wounded when he saved his wife from the big fire and his wife jumped down from the high place and died.Jane got to the house immediately.Under the condition of equal, finally they got married.I was deeply moved by Jane’s independent spirit and the unyielding character.Jane Eyre taught us that we should strong enough to face setbacks and treated the variety of people in life equally.When she was young, she could resist to the people that oppreed her;she was not afraid even if it incurred severe punishment.It is worthy for us to learn her indomitable spirit.
