Marie Curie—Heroine Legend
What we read from the paage Force of Nature, we can learn that the writer idolized Marie Curie.And the Marie Curie that she discovered was no icon but a flesh-and-blood woman.However, Marie Curie’s life considered both glorious and tragic, she discovered radium and also died from it.The writer provides with true, descriptive, and impreive accounts of the heroine, focusing on Marie Curie’s experiences in life and her research work, and vividly telling us the major events that happened to her.Obviously, Marie Curie is really a legendary heroine.She was one of the most famous scientists in the world, dedicated her life to physics and chemistry, and discovered radioactivity, she was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize for physics.We can also found out that Marie Curie was an average female human being with the emotions, weaknees, and strengths of a normal person.“She conquered huge profeional obstacles but paid a terrible personal price”, she overcame coloal difficulties in her career, yet she persisted at the sacrifice of her health and even life.We should learn from her spirit that dedicating lifetime to her career, we not only contribute to our businees, but also take care for our health, never sacrifice it to our careers.Health must come first.In my eyes, Marie Curie is a deity.She had said, “Life is not easy for any of us.We must work, and above all we must believe in ourselves.We must believe that each one of us is able to do something well, and that, when we discover what this something is, we must work hard at it until we succeed.” Hence, it indicates that the way to succe needs us to have self-confidence, persistence, even self-devotion.The Liberty in My Eyes
After reading Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death, it drives me to think about the inner meaning of the word, liberty.What is liberty?
In my eyes, liberty is not the distance you have gone as what you have planned previously, but is the vast sky provided to you whenever you want to fly.In my eyes, liberty is not the place you can reach as what you want in your mind, but is space that you can leave at once when you dislike it and you need not to worry about the consequence after you went away.In my eyes, liberty is not the person you decide to love and you can be fond of he/she, but is the lover which is loved by you never depart from you, you never have to be afraid of separation.In my eyes, liberty is not the ability of buying an economic house or a luxury villa, but is the capacity that you pay off the money of house by your own instead asking for your parents, also living without austerity.In general, the meaning of liberty has infinite definition.However, in my opinion, man is born with freedom.The man who has liberty can live the life in their expected way.
