Review of ‘Oliver Twist’

Here I am thinking about what I have just finished___Oliver Twist,which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishne of the secular world.It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.Charles Dickens was born in 1812 at a poor family and died in1870.The defining moment of Dickens's life occurred when he was 12 years old.With his father in debtors' prison, he was dropped out from school and forced to work in a factory which deeply affected the sensitive boy.He wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime.He suffered so much pain such as hunger , thirst beating and abusement.TO my gladne,at the end ofthe storie the goodne eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life.One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs.Maylie and Rose and began a new life.He went for walks with them and he worked hard at his

leons.He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppreive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodne.I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodne could conquer every difficulty.Although I don’t think goodne is real.I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindne and the wickedne of all the characters in the novel, but what this ugly society lacks, and what I lack deep inside —— love and care.Those charitable figures that Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life.They showed love and care to others, which was carved into my heart deeply.
