After reading The Last Leaf, I am so deeply impreed that I read it again and again.The novel tell us a profound story: Johnsy, who has a serious ill with pneumonia, regards the ivy leaves outside the window as her life’s mark.With the leaves failing, Johnsy thinks desperately，she would die after the last leaf falls down.However, the old artist, Behrman, who lives in the same building as the girls, braves a storm one night to paint a leaf on the wall — a leaf that will never fall.Cold and wet from painting in the icy rain, he catches pneumonia and dies.This gives Johnsy the hope to survive her illne, and it also creates the masterpiece Behrman had always dreamed of painting.Johnsy is just like us, young and paionate.But when the troubles come, we may feel sad and hopele, just like her.But we must know we are young and our whole life lies ahead of us.We should not lose the faith of life and keep ourselves with ourselves.There is a sentence goes like this: The most sadne person in the world is a man whose heart has already died.So no matter how hard you are, you should always keep a positive attitude.Where there is hope, there is way.The life can be hard, but we must be happy and optimistic.The Last Leaf is a very simple story without great plots and beautiful words, but it has profound meaning which benefits people.I like it very much.
