Jonathan Trager and Sara Thomas met while shopping for gloves in New York.Though buying for their respective lovers, the magic was right and a night of Christmas shopping turned into romance.Jon wanted to explore things further but Sara wasn't sure their love was meant to be.They decided to see if destiny brought them back together...Several years later, both are engaged to be married.Jon dccides to track down the girl, Sara flies to New York hoping that destiny will bring her soulmate back.In the movie ,the leading manimprees me most ,his romance and persistance move me deeply.As his best friend write a lively “obituary”to him: Soft-spoken and obseive, Trager never looked the part of a hopele romantic.Jonathan has changed a lot since his meeting with sara.During these years,looking for that book《Love in the Time of Cholera》which write her name and addre on the title page hasn’t been stoping.In England ,Sara also searches paper currency which has his information.Jonathan usually goes to skating rink recalling their happy memories.I remember one of the scenes: Jonathan decides to go to the clothing counter to look into her account ,the salesman is so stiff that he1

prevents Jonathan from croing over the dividing line.So finally he has to buy a suit of clothes to satisfy salesman’s unreasonable demand.Though salesman is so ridiculous and hateful ,he actually understand Jonathan’s action.I have leant perseverance and friendship from the film.Jonathan and Sara trust in fate,so they never give up looking for that book and paper money before they make contact with each other.Returning from our common life,we are always seeking for soulmates,there are our joys and sorrows of life,as well as our swiftly paing youth.Just as Jonathan and Sara,though we don’t know the results,we are on road all the time.However,in the realistic society,we submit to different of barriers,we have no action to do,so the movie is more or le dramatic and delibrately arranged.Actually,the most excellent part is that Jonathan’s best friend write a “obituary”to him,he encourages Jonathan to move ahead,when Jonathan is about to give up,I remember what he said to the leading man-The acient Greeks did not write obituaries instead they asked only one question of a man(or a woman)：“Did he have paion?”The obituary conclude the first half of Jonathan’s life well,sincere andhonest.What a wonderfulparagraph！

It’s a typical Hollywood ending ,we have to combine the film with other similar films such as 《Sleeple in Seattle》《You’ve got mail》

《Before the sunrise》《Before the sunset》.Americans seem to be fond of romantic affections，they could pursue for soulmate regardle of reality.I appreciate those people who are crazy for love,after all,it’s so rare occuring in the society.some abide by the reality ,others are willing to risk for love just for the sake of what we can’t gain.Du liniang could be born and die for love,amazing and touching;Shen shijun could marry a woman,but love another woman deeply in his heart.“Life is not merely a series of meaningle accidents or coincidences, uh uh, but rather it is a tapestry of acts that culminate in an exquisIte, sublime plan.”We also need to believe that what we currently refer to as destiny!
