Dear most distinguished guests, welcome to our charming schoolyard, and welcome to Dongying City, a 30-year-old city which is located in the Delta of the Yellow River, a river that is nicknamed the Mother River of the Chinese people, nurturing her people over thousands of years.And the Yellow River ranks the fifth longest river in the world, winding for 5464 kilometers through North China and fertilizing 795 thousand square kilometers.东营市是一座能源城市，1974年，我们在这片贫瘠的荒滩上发现了储量丰富的石油，随着石油开发规模的扩大，一座新兴的现代化城市逐渐兴起，这个过程有些类似于美国的西部大开发。我们的学校胜利二中，创建于1966年，建校之初就是最早的一批石油工人的子弟学校，历经近50年的发展，我们的学校发生了巨大的变化，从最初几间低矮的破瓦房，发展到目前这个环境优美、设施先进的学校，一代代二中人付出了艰苦的努力，现在，这里不但是我们学习的乐园，也是我们精神成长的家园。现在，就请各位尊贵的客人随我一起参观一下我们美丽的学校。
It was by the Oilfield worker, for the Oilfield workers, and of the Oilfield workers that our school was established in 1966.Early in 1974, rich resources of oil were spotted in such a barren land and a modernized resource city has risen ever since, which highly resembles the development of American Western Development.And over the past 47 years, our school has witneed great changes from several separate houses into such a charming and advanced one.It is the efforts of generations of teachers here that have contributed to this learning paradise and spiritual home.Now, please permit me to show you around our charming schoolyard.学校广场上的这两棵大树是柿子树，中国人对柿子树想来偏爱有加，因为柿子树因其谐音象征着事事如意，又因为当火红的柿子挂满枝头时，那种硕果累累的景象总能让人充满丰收的喜悦。请各位嘉宾随着我手指的方向看去，教学楼前是一片竹林，竹子、松树、梅花并称为中国传统文化中的岁寒三友，因这三种植物在寒冬时节仍可保持顽强的生命力而得名，是中国传统文化中高尚人格的象征，而竹子，无花无果唯有节，在中国自古以来就是气节、坚韧的象征，因此受到中国历代文人的喜爱，在校园里栽种竹子，也是希望我们学习竹子的美德，做意志坚强、品德高尚的人。
