Oil—Colouring my life Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, today I would like to share my view on the colour of oil.When I was preparing this speech, I recalled the first day of my college, my teacher of petroleum introduction raised a very simple question: what is oil? And the first answer came to my mind was: something black, and black it is.The colour Black is always considered as the most dull, simple, unpromising colour, we have black Friday, black hole, black list, etc.but when I learned about the history of oil, black start to means something more, When I saw oil, I saw more than black, but a colourful history: I saw the decades when oil was relied on importation, I saw the first discovered oil field, I saw the piniers who devoted their lives to make this industry develop and prosperous and I saw 3 million oil workers nowadays from all over the country.So black is no longer just black, it is the blue sorrow, black determination, green hope, red sacrificed blood, and the glittering of tears and sweat, and oil is no longer oil but a history filled with deep misery, slim hope, great expectation, huge sacrifice and countle efforts, it is a spirit, a combination of china’s yesterday and present day.It used to be a nation’s dream and it is now realized.However, despite all these colours, all these feelings that history entitled, oil still imprees everyone with its original colour: pure black, the colour of voicele devotion, the colour of humble, yet the colour of strong.Humble but strong is the personality I leant from oil, but oil has gifted me much more.When I was admitted to CPECC last year, a brand new chapter of my life is ready to be written, and the global busine of CPECC granted it a marvelous beginning: I got to work with some of the most respectable experts of oil industry, learn about the technology and principles of modern engineering and be part of projects that are of great importance for our people, our country and even our world.CPECC broaden our horizon by offering job opportunities all around the world, It is the “black busine” that gives us a colourful life and we return with red paion, to learn, to create, to make a difference.Colleagues and friends of us are working in Canada, Iraq, Jordan, Algeria, Middle Asia, Australia, South America, all around the world, those people are the ones who give up their chances to huge their friends, watch their children, ki their wives and take care of their old parents.Because they have responsibility there, the projects need them, our country needs them.People used to call us oil workers, but I always prefer to be called as oil soldiers, because the sacrifice we made, because the lives we put into risk, and yes, we are in war, a war without smoke, but a war about interest and prosperity of our country.But the paionate red is not the only colour we offer, I also saw the colour of dreams, we all have dreams, some of us dream about achieve a better life through hard, diligent work, some others dream about being experts in their specialized area, everyone has a unique dream, but when all these dreams come together, a bigger dream shared by not only each and every 中国石油工程建设公司2014年青年英语演讲比赛北分预选赛—参加不了决赛，让我心痛不已，把自己的稿子贴出来，希望可以给别人一点帮助，水平有限，错误难免，请甄别选用。

石油，着色我的青春
女士们，先生们，大家下午好，今天我演讲的题目是：石油，着色我的青春。当我准备这篇演讲稿的时候，我想起了我大学的第一天，在石油入门这堂课上老师提了一个问题：什么是石油？而当时我脑海里冒出的第一个答案就是：一种黑乎乎的东西。
有人说黑色是世界上最单调、无趣、死气沉沉的颜色，人们说黑色星期五，黑洞，黑名单等等。但是当我学习了石油的历史，黑色对于我来说就有了更多的含义，当我看到石油，我不仅仅看到了黑色，我还看到了一段多彩的历史：我看到了石油只能依赖进口的那段日子，看到了中国发现的第一个大油田，看到了为了石油事业蓬勃发展捐躯的先辈们，我还看到了当今300多万的石油工人在各自的岗位上忙碌着。所以，黑色从此不再是一种颜色，她包括了蓝色的忧伤，黑色的决心，绿色的希望，红色的血液，还有泪水和汗水的闪光，而石油也不再是石油，而是一段历史，饱含了沉重的穷困，飘渺的希望，殷切的期盼，无畏的牺牲还有数不尽的努力。她是一种精神，是中国的过去和现在，她曾是一个国家的梦想，而如今她已被实现。
然而，即便历史赋予了她所有的这些颜色、所有的这些感情，石油依然留给我们以黑色的印象，黑色，是默默奉献的颜色，是谦逊的颜色，也是刚强的颜色。谦逊而刚强的品格是石油赐予我的礼物，但石油给我的远不止这些，当去年我加入到中石油，我知道人生中一个全新的章节即将被书写，而中石油的全球事业给了她一个完美的开始，我得以和行业的领军人物共事，学习先进的设计理念和技术，参与到对民族、国家甚至世界具有重要意义的项目中去。中石油在世界各地提供工作岗位也给了我们开阔视野的机会，这是一份“黑色的事业”，而她却给了我们多彩的人生，而我们将回报以火红的热情，去学习，去创造，去改变！但激情的红色并不是我看到的唯一颜色，我还看到了梦想的颜色，每个人都有梦想，有的人梦想通过自己的勤奋努力得到更好的生活，有的人希望可以成为行业的专家，每个人的梦想都不同，但是当所有这些梦想聚集到一起，一个宏大的，被几百万石油人和几代石油人所共同拥有的梦想陪伴在我们身旁，那就是为祖国贡献更优质、更清洁的能源！
石油生来是黑色的，但她让我看到了她内心是如何的多彩，也让我看到了生活原来可以如此多彩，当我把我的梦想和石油的梦想结合到一起，我知道我们的梦想都会走的更长远，我幻想着有那么一天，当我垂垂老矣，我的孩子问起梦想是什么样子，我会告诉他梦想是黑色的，然后给他讲一个年轻人的故事，故事里黑色改变了他的人生，而他实现了黑色的梦想。
