Objectives 1.To be able to talk about EQ and IQ 2.To practise using Past Particples with their various functions in sentences

Procedures I.Pre-reading Exercise 1 ·Ask the students if they understand the meaning of EQ and IQ.If they don’t, ask them to read the first paragraph of the paage.·Students work individually finding out their reactions to the situations in the test.·Students then work in pairs comparing and discuing their answers with their partners.II.While-reading

Exercise 2

·Read through the questions with cla.·Students then work individually, reading the text and answering the questions.·Check answers as a cla.III.Post-reading Students discu the following questions in groups: Which is more important, EQ or IQ? IV.Vocabulary: Wordbuilding

Exercise 3 ·Make sure that students understand the meaning of these words.·Students do the exercise individually.·Check answes as a cla.V.Grammer 1.Exercise 4

·Read through the direction with the cla.· Students work individually reading the sentences and underlining the Past Particples.·They then work in pairs discuing the functions of the Past Particples.·Check answers as a cla.Give explanations wherever neceary.Make sure students know the functions.·Ask students to work individually making four sentences with Past Particples having different functions in each sentence.2.Exercise 5

·Read through the example with the cla.·Students work through the sentences in pairs.·Check students’ answers by having pairs of students read out their sentences.VI.Language in Use

Exercise 6

·Read through the words and the example with cla.·Students then work in groups designing the EQ questionnaire.Encourage students to think of situations they are likely to encounter in their real lives.Homework
